My love of food and serving others started early, in the kitchens of my grandmothers. Those moments—tasting, creating, sharing—stayed with me, and in 2016 I decided to bring that same spirit to my hometown. With hope, faith, and a lot of heart, I founded Humble Grounds Coffee in downtown Woodruff. What began as a humble coffee shop has blossomed into a beloved gathering place—something more than just great coffee: a space where people connect, celebrate, and feel at home.
Humble Beginnings
What started as a cozy neighborhood coffee shop has grown into something more. Today, Humble Grounds is both a charming event venue and the home base for “Miss Lottie” — our mobile coffee and food bar.
Our Coffee Shop & Venue
Located on South Main Street in the heart of Woodruff, Humble Grounds offers fresh coffee, tea, and a rotating menu of pastries, breakfast favorites, crepes, sandwiches, and southern-inspired bites. Guests love our warm, inviting atmosphere—whether it’s relaxing by the fireplace, meeting friends over brunch, or hosting a private event.
Our Upper Room event space is ideal for intimate gatherings like bridal and baby showers, small parties, and business meetings, offering a setting that’s cozy, personal, and full of charm.
Meet “Miss Lottie”Our beloved mobile coffee and food bar is affectionately named after my maternal grandmother, Miss Lottie. She was a woman of warmth and southern grace, known for her hand pies and for filling her kitchen with love and good food. Growing up in her kitchen inspired much of what Humble Grounds has become.
The Miss Lottie mobile bar now carries on her legacy, serving fresh coffee, tea, and hand pies at local events, markets, and community gatherings around Woodruff and beyond. It’s our way of sharing the flavors and hospitality that started it all, wherever people come together.
Be Our Guests
Whether you stop by our Main Street shop, book our event space, or catch Miss Lottie out in the community, you’ll always be welcomed with the same heart, great coffee and a spirit of southern hospitality rooted in family tradition.
